To the left and above are of the female half of the breeding pair that frequent the pond out back of our home. Isn't she beautiful?
Sandhill Cranes use their long, sharp bills to bore into the ground searching for worms and insects. The photo at the left is of a Sandhill after he has had his bill in the ground. Looks like he could use a tooth brush!
